Why do we verify your age?
GTCigars.com does not sell premium cigars to anyone under the age of 21. To comply with federal and state laws, we partner with AgeChecker.net, a trusted third-party age verification service, to ensure all customers are of legal age before completing a purchase.
How does AgeChecker.net work?
At checkout, AgeChecker.net securely verifies your age by checking the information you provide against trusted databases. This process happens in seconds and is designed to confirm your identity and age without interrupting your shopping experience.
If AgeChecker.net cannot automatically verify your age, you may be asked to upload a photo of a valid, government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license or passport). This ensures compliance while keeping your information private and secure.
Is the information I provide secure?
Yes. AgeChecker.net uses bank-level encryption and never shares, sells, or stores your sensitive personal information beyond what is required for verification. Photos and data submitted for manual review are deleted after verification is complete.
Will I have to verify my age more than once?
In most cases, you only need to verify once. However, you may be asked to re-verify if you:
- Change your shipping address
- Use a different payment method
- Place an order from a different device
Failure to complete re-verification when requested may delay your order.
What if I cannot be verified?
If AgeChecker.net is unable to verify your age automatically, you will be prompted to submit a valid government-issued ID for manual review. Orders that cannot be verified will be cancelled, and you will not be charged.
International Orders
AgeChecker.net primarily verifies U.S. customers. For international orders, manual ID verification may be required to confirm your age before shipment.
